Position: Home Warranty Representative

Salary: $75,000

Location: Toronto, ON (Remote + Occasional Travel to Homes)

Duration: Fulltime, Permanent

Overview:

· 3-5 years in construction, preferably in freehold residential methods; diploma in building science or related field.

· Training in dispute resolution and skills in managing complaints and facilitating resolutions.

· Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and knowledge of the Ontario Building Code.

· Ability to travel as needed to visit home sites. Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve warranty claims, following established procedures and policies.

· Identify warranty issues using relevant technical standards and suggest resolutions based on the merits of each claim.

· Facilitate impartial negotiations and provide technical and warranty advice to vendors, builders, and homeowners.

· Conduct inspections, issue rulings, manage contractor services, and represent the organization at tribunals and public events
