DESCRIPTION

Position: Millwright

Pay: $39.10 + $1.20 shift premium

Location: Medicine Hat, AB

Duration: Fulltime, Permanent

Shift: 2-2-3 / 12 hours rotating every 2 weeks after 3 days off

Overview:

• Hold valid certification as an Alberta Journeyman Maintenance Millwright or Red Seal, with 3-5 years of industrial/manufacturing experience.
• Proficient in utilizing CMMS and has some exposure to Maintenance SAP system, along with operating forklifts and aerial lifts.
• Able to interpret drawings, troubleshoot effectively, and work both independently and as part of a team in a 24/7 operational setting, including rotating shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Conducts preventive maintenance and repairs on machinery and support systems, covering mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical aspects.
• Performs routine maintenance tasks like cleaning and lubrication, utilizing a variety of precision tools effectively.
• Fabricates custom parts and fixtures using arc welding, grinding, and oxyacetylene cutting techniques.
• Installs and assembles machinery and equipment, including mixers, saws, bearings, gearboxes, motors, and conveyors, while also troubleshooting breakdowns to ensure production targets are met.
